Keplr Mobile offers exclusive features such as Ledger Bluetooth connectivity, an in-app browser, QR code scanning, and WalletConnect.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a new account by either 1) connecting your Google account or 2) generating a new recovery phrase.
Install Keplr Mobile for iOS or Android
Download the Keplr Mobile app by scanning these QR codes.
In your Keplr mobile app, tap [Create a new wallet].
Create a New Wallet with Google Accounts
Tap [Connect with Google].
Next, you'll need to select which Google account to use for your Keplr Wallet. Keep in mind, the Keplr team does not keep record of this, so you'll need to remember which account you link.
Set a Wallet Name. Choosing a name that reflects its use or is easy to identify will make it more convenient later.
Take note of your private key and store it in a safe place. For accounts created with Google Login via Web3Auth, only private keys are provided. If you lose access to your Google account and lose your private key, there is no way to recover your account, and all assets in it will be permanently lost. Be sure to record your private key securely.
Select the chains you want to use with Keplr Mobile, then tap [Save].
If you see the screen below, your account creation is complete. Tap [Done] and start exploring the multichain.
Create a New Wallet with Recovery Phrase
In your Keplr mobile app, tap [Create a new wallet].
Then tap [Create new recovery phrase].
Take note of your recovery phrase and store it in a safe place.
NOTICE: This is the only way to retrieve a lost account and the Keplr team does not store your recovery phrase, so please keep it safe. If you lose your recovery phrase and get locked out of your account, your account will be lost forever. If someone gets access to your recovery phrase, you could get hacked. Never share your seed phrase.
To confirm your new wallet, enter the words from your recovery phrase. Then give your wallet a name. Tap [Next].
Then, select the chains that you want to use and press [Save].
If you see the screen below, your account creation is complete. Tap [Done] and start exploring the multichain.
